The challenge extended underwater, where a significant portion of the exercises were captured by a dedicated underwater cinematographer, ensuring every movement was clearly demonstrated.

With a team of over 20 professionals, including two camera operators (above and below water), and the involvement of more than 10 Red Cross experts, we successfully completed the production over two intensive shoot days. These films not only meet but elevate the educational standards for future lifeguards, paving the way for a safer tomorrow.

We shot on the Sony FX line camera with only one Angenieux zoom lens, focusing on the chemistry between two cast members. The locations—basketball courts, retro hotel pools, abandoned buildings, and winding roads—provided a dynamic backdrop for FILA’s brand.

As the lead drone operator, I took charge of securing all necessary flight permits, a task often challenging in the festival environment. Beyond aerial shots, I delved into the world of Super-Slowmotion, capturing moments at up to 100 fps, adding an extra layer of intensity to the aftermovies.

In collaboration with a highly creative team, we produced three aftermovies for renowned festivals: Full Force, Splash, and Melt. Whether providing a bird’s-eye view of the entire festival grounds or diving into the heart of the action in the mosh pits, each aftermovie captured the vibrant energy and spirit of these extraordinary events.

I had the privilege of capturing Fabio’s journey both above and below the water’s surface. Immersed in the underwater world, I took on the role of both filmmaker and diver, ensuring that every underwater shot was a testament to Fabio’s unparalleled skills and achievements.

The resulting profile film not only served Fabio exceptionally well in his quest for sponsors but also became a valuable addition to an upcoming freediving documentary currently in production.
